This lizard is knitted with a small amount of 4ply wool. Using a different shade for the underbelly gives a lovely realistic result. You will need less that 10g in all.

This is a fairly straightforward knit. I used two double-point needles (2.25mm), as there is some icord knitting and short rows. The body of the lizard is knitted in two pieces, so there is some seaming, and the legs are knitted separately and have to be attached. I tried other ways, but this seemed to give the best result.

As with most of my patterns I like to list every row, and give a running stitch count. I find this helps me, as I like to tick off as I knit each row, and keep tabs on any increases and decreases. This may make the pattern look long, but I hope people find it helpful.

I used craft eyes and beads, but if you are going to give this to a small child it is probably best to sew the eyes with wool.
