This design is inspired by the amazing KnitCircus gradient yarn! All the beauty of a gradient in one ball rather than several small balls. Lizard Locomotion combines textures and a unique heel technique that allow the colors to flow uninterrupted. The title came from the ‘s’ shaped track that a lizard’s tail leaves as it runs across sand or dirt.

Details: Lizard Locomotion is knit from the cuff down. The 2x2 ribbing runs all the way to the start of the modified short row heel. This gives the socks a stretchy, plush feel. After the turn, the foot is knit to the toe. Length of cuff is shorter for wide width. There are notes on this in the pattern.
