Ljosmodir means Lightmother — “ljos” meaning light, “modir” meaning mother — and is the Icelandic name for a midwife:
the lightbringer of life. Anna-Sofia is expecting to become a first-time mother, and fell in love with the word. This design symbolizes how moonlight — much softer than sunlight — gives birth to nature.

This pattern is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, starting with a rolled edge, ribbed hem, and ending with a rolled
collar. The body and sleeves are worked bottom up and then joined to work the yoke. This sweater features straight shaping
in the body for a unisex fit.
