Llama? Alpaca? Llampaca!
Hi!
I wasn’t sure if this is llama or alpaca - and he doesn’t know it neither! He claims he is a llampaca. Well, I won’t argue with that!
This pattern requires two types of yarn – for llampaca body I recommend YarnArt Jeans (160m/50g), and for the fur - Himalaya Dolphin Baby (chenille yarn, 120m/100g). Of course you can use yarns with similar specification, the key is this chenille or fluffy yarn for the fur – it shoud be thicker than the second one. My llampaca, made with these yarns is about 28-30cm (11-12 inches) high.
You will need:
• 1 colour of YarnArt Jeans for body (about ¼ of skein) (or similar yarn)
• 1 colour of Himalaya Dolphin Baby for fur (about ¾ of skein) (or similar yarn)
• hook size 2,5mm i 4mm (3mm or 3,5mm will be useful too)
• safety eyes 6-8mm size, a little bit of black thin yarn or embroidery floss to make a face
• stuffing, sewing needle, scissors
This pattern is meant for beginners and intermediate crocheters. It was tested a few times, but if you see any errors, be sure to let me know :) Also, I would gladly see your works, you can show me them on my Facebook fanpage @OrlicaCraft or just tag me while publishing your picture.
