A lightweight, hooded capelet you can wear alone in cool weather, or underneath a coat in winter. The combination of Amano Uma, a luscious laceweight combination of suri alpaca, mohair and silk, and Micaela, a fingering weight merino wool and silk blend hand-dyed by a local Hispanic artisan, works up into a fluid and drapey fabric as bright and soft and fluttery as “Butterfly Rain.”

Materials:

  • 2 skeins of RMR Micaela in colorway Ofrenda
  • 3 balls of Amano Uma in colorway Folklore
  • M (8mm) for body, K (6.5 mm) for neck and hood, or sizes to achieve gauge
  • Stitch markers for beginning of rounds and decreases
  • Tapestry needle
