Loaded waistbelt and bag
The Loaded crochet belt/bag is inspired by the fact that crocheters and makers need many tools. So this waist belt/bag is thought to be a great piece to gather all your tools and notions. Or simply put your belongings and hit the street in a sporty way, but handcrafted! :)
This pattern is a 2 in 1 pattern consisting of a waistbag, and a cargo belt. Created to be an easy piece to make and wear.

-
Skills: I-cord chain (includes tutorial), sc, (basic crochet stitches), sc decrease, sc increase, (mattress stitch or flat slip stitch seam), some light sewing.
Materials:
Yarn:
Belt: Fine 2 weight yarn, sport type.
Holding two strands of yarn for the belt, and one strand only for pockets and details.
Bag: Light 3 weight yarn, DK type.
-Yarn material: It is advised to use a non-stretchable yarn. Since the purpose of the belt is to hold tight around our body, and to keep the pockets rigid and sturdy enough (avoid materials such as bamboo, 100% wool, 100% acrylic, or elastic yarn). Any cotton and/or cotton blends (i.e. hemp, linen) will be sturdy enough. Mercerized fibers will be shinier and stronger than non-mercerized varieties. Since fabric and structure strength is very important on a belt, mercerized cotton/blends will be a good option for this project.
