Loblolly
This pattern is my attempt at repurposing a classic staple in any knitter’s repertoire: the rectangular scarf. This simple shape, twisted a bit and seamed, creates a versatile accessory. It can be a wrap, cowl, bandana, shrug, poncho: it just depends how you decide to wear it.
Such a simple design opens the doors to endless creativity. Follow my design and color palette or play and be creative. Experiment with different yarn weights, textures, colors, patterns, and sizes. This is the perfect way to finally use those bits and pieces of
handspun yarn that you’ve been collecting!
Requires 330 yards / 150 grams of any worsted yarn
or
Various scraps of yarns in different weights, textures, and fun colors.
Experiment and have fun!
Size: 15” wide x 36” long
Skills required: Mattress Stitch
Happy Knitting,
Melissa Stajda
