The Local Yarn Shawl was FREE on Local Yarn Store Day, to everyone who goes to a participating Local Yarn Store and purchases yarn to make it. Participating LYS’s can be found here.

It doesn’t matter what yarn you buy for this shawl; many LYS’s are featuring special yarns or you can mix brands, or make a one skein version. When purchasing yarn, you will receive a coupon code from your LYS which you may use at home to redeem (link in first paragraph.) Please head out and give these brick and mortar small businesses some love!

Details
The Local Yarn Shawl is a boomerang shaped shawl, consisting of simple lace, textured, eyelet and mesh stitches. The pattern is written for two sizes: Small and Large. The small shawl only consists of one color but in a gradient if desired (560 yards); while the large shawl uses two contrasting or “blendy” colors (350 yards each.)
