This pattern is knitted with the locked floats technique, which is a variation on the fair isle technique without the floats at the back. You can read and watch a video about on here: https://www.thecraftsteacher.com/en/knitting/color-knitti....

For this wrap I’ve used Scheepjes Stonewashed XL. The balls are 50 gram and have 75 meter working length. It is made of 70% cotton and 30% acrylics.
I have used 5 colors as changing pattern colors and 1 background color.

Color A: 864, Turquoise, , 95 gram ➔ 2 balls (advice : take 3 balls to be sure)
Color B: 855. Agate, 150 gram ➔ 3 balls (advice: take 4 balls to be sure)
Color C: 868, Larimar, 138 gram ➔ 3 balls
Color D: 853, Amazonite, 127 gram ➔ 3 balls
Color E: 854, Crystal Quartz, 59 gram ➔ 2 balls
Color X: 869, Obsidian, 575 gram ➔12 balls

Disclaimer: this is my usage, with 10% extra. Buy some extra yarn if you want to be 100% sure at a local yarn store that allows you to bring back unused balls. A different color bath is not very obvious. I’ve worked with 2 color baths of color X, and this wasn’t visible.
The wrap is about 64 cm high and 210 cm wide.

have used circular needles size 5 mm. I used my Addi Click needles that are 12.5 cm long, with 2 cables of 60 cm each and a connector to connect the 2 cables. This way all stitches will fit on your needles and cables and allows you to knit the wrap in width.

For knitting the upper and lower border you might need size 4.5 mm to avoid curly sides.

I got 17 stitches and 20 rows in 10x10 cm in pattern (after blocking).

Ik heb 5 kleuren als wisselende patroonkleuren gebruikt en 1 achtergrondkleur.

Kleur A: 864, Turquoise, 95 gram ➔ 2 bollen (advies : neem er 3 voor de zekerheid)
Kleur B: 855. Agate, 150 gram ➔ 3 bollen (advies : neem er 4 voor de zekerheid)
Kleur C: 868, Larimar, 138 gram ➔ 3 bollen
Kleur D: 853, Amazonite, 127 gram ➔ 3 bollen
Kleur E: 854, Crystal Quartz, 59 gram ➔ 2 bollen
kleur X: 869, Obsidian, 575 gram ➔12 bollen

Disclaimer: dit is mijn verbruik, inclusief 10% extra. Koop eventueel wat extra garen bij een winkelier bij wie je je hele restbollen mag retourneren. Een verschillend kleurbad is overigens niet storend. Ik heb van kleur X met twee kleurbaden gewerkt, en dat was niet zichtbaar.

De omslagdoek is ongeveer 64 cm hoog en 210 cm breed.

Ik heb breinaalden 5 mm gebruikt. Ik heb mijn Addi Click naalden van 12,5 cm gebruikt, met 2 kabels van 60 cm en een verlengstuk om de kabels met elkaar te verbinden. Zo passen alle steken op je naald en kabels en kun je de omslagdoek in de breedte breien.

Voor het breien van de boven- en onderrand kan het nodig zijn om naald 4,5 mm te gebruiken om golven te voorkomen.

Ik had in patroon 17 steken en 20 rijen op 10x10 cm (na blokken).

Het patroon bestand bevat een omschrijving van de garens, de naalden en stekenverhouding, patroon tekeningen en uitgeschreven instructies. Ik heb foto’s toegevoegd over de afwerking. Linkjes naar aanvullende technieken zijn ook opgenomen.
