Locus
Locus is a long rectangular scarf worked in a squishy and textured zigzag ribbing stitch pattern.
Working in a zigzag stitch pattern results in mismatched ends - the peaks at one end are valleys at the other. To prevent this and make both ends of the scarf symmetrical, three diamond-shaped motifs are worked first.
These motifs are used as a base from which the rest of the scarf is worked, the first zigzag row joins the motifs together and continues for half the length, and then the second half is worked from the opposite side of the motifs to complete the scarf.
