Log Cabin
by Barbara Faul
Make an entire afghan using only half double crochet! Designer Barbara Faul’s technique for color changes ensures a smooth transition, giving her afghans a polished look. Construction is typical log cabin - from the center square out, making increasingly larger rectangles. The final afghan is 63-1/2” square.
Any worsted weight yarn can be substituted. Exact gauge is not critical, though it will affect the finished size of the afghan.
Pattern calls for 1260 yards/1152 meters light blue, and 750 yards/686 meters each of green, variegated, dark blue, and purple.
