Log Cabin Christmas
Working in rows instead of rounds, Carole G. Wilder imitates the granny square to create fresh-looking evergreens topped with stars made of gold-colored thread

Worsted Weight Yarn:
Dk Green - 18 ounces, (510 grams, 1,015 yards)
Burgundy - 13 ounces, (370 grams, 735 yards)
Green - 10½ ounces, (300 grams, 595 yards)
Red - 6½ ounces, (180 grams, 370 yards)
Dk Burgundy - 2½ ounces, (70 grams, 140 yards)
Bedspread Weight Cotton Thread (size 10): 125 yards
Crochet hook, size H (5.00 mm) or size needed for gauge
Steel crochet hook, size 3 (2.10 mm)
Yarn needle
Tapestry needle
GAUGE: Each Square = 7½.
Gauge Swatch: 1½” diameter Work same as Foundation
