Loire Cowl
The Loire cowl is reminiscent of the stained glass window found in the Loire Valley castles. Many of these windows arched at the top for added beauty and grace. They were surrounded by stone walls to offset their splendor. The Loire Cowl is the perfect weight to wear during the Spring, Summer and Fall.
MATERIALS:
- Small Size Cowl - 1 skein (approx. 200 yds) fingering weight yarn. Shown in: Lil’ Luxe Grrl – Tempted Handpainted Yarn in Good Girl’s Don’t colorway
- Medium Size Cowl – 1 skein (approx. 300 yds) fingering weight yarn. Shown in: Sassafras Sock – Hiwassee Creek Dyeworks in Fire Pink
- Large Size Cowl – 1 skeins (approx.. 400 yrds) fingering weight yarn. Shown in: Tosh Merino Light – Madelinetosh hand dyed yarns in Steamertrunk -/ One US5/3.75mm 32” circular needle.
- Stitch markers 6/8/10 (sm/med/lg)
- One Cable Needle
- One Tapestry needle
PATTERN NOTES:
• Cowl can be worked in three different sizes. Instructions for differences in size is written in pattern as small/medium/large (i.e. 3/4/5):
• Configuration charts show the number of repeats per chart needed to reach desired look.
• Cowl can be worked in four different configuration
• Pattern has both written and charted instructions
• Pattern knit in the round.
• All rounds are right side rounds
