The Firebird or Oiseau de Feu depicts a Phoenix bird like in the famous Stravinsky ballet of the same name. Another well known firebird is of course Dumbledore’s Phoenix in the Harry Potter books.

This pattern can be executed in various yarn weights and gauges. The sample was knit in light fingering weight held double which amounts roughly to sportweight.
