Designed to sit on the shoulder without slipping
The shawl/scarf has a graduated shaping to give a full circular shape at the bottom with a curved neck edge.
It is self ruffling as you work your way down
Finished with firmer front and bottom edge to maintain its shape

A top down construction - so you can alter the length if wished
has an optional beaded edge, which adds weight to help the shawl hang well

Best made in a lace-weight or light 4ply - looks good in either a plain colour or soft self striping wool
