Lolly Cake Shawl
The Lolly Cake Shawl is asymmetrical and knitted from tip to tip. The design uses a variable stitch count pattern but is written so that an adventurous beginner should feel confident giving it a go…
Quite an intuitive knit once you get going, it is also fairly economical to make. Experienced knitters will find they hardly need to refer to the pattern once they have knit a few pattern repeats. It would make a lovely gift and it’s perfect for travel knitting.
The stitch count increases as you knit so if you choose to use this design for a scrappy shawl or wish to substitute for a stashed yarn you have plenty of, you simply carry knit on until you are ready to bind/cast off. It features a simple icord bind off.
YARN OPTION POSSIBILITIES:
~ ONE 200gm (original) Caron (OR) ONE (original) Lincraft CAKE.
~ 2 balls of King Cole Riot DK
Scrap yarns would also make for a fun & interesting knit.(remember to consider fingering weight sock yarn double stranded, etc.)
