Die London Tourist Socks werden von oben nach unten gestrickt. Dabei wird die Bandspitze und eine nachträglich eingestrickte Ferse gearbeitet.

Das Besondere an den London Tourist Socks ist, dass sie individualisierbar sind. Die Anleitung enthält 8 verschiedene London-Motive, mit denen du deine Socken nach Lust und Laune gestalten kannst.
Die Anleitung enthält keine genaue Anweisung, in welcher Reihenfolge die London-Motive gestrickt werden sollen. Sie enthält aber zwei Beispiel-Socken, die zur Inspiration dienen sollen.

Die Socken sind inspiriert von einer Ende 2024 bevorstehenden Reise nach London mit meiner Mama. Ich habe ihr diese Socken zum Geburtstag gestrickt, weil das die erste Reise ist, die wir zu zweit unternehmen und weil es ihre erste Flugreise ist. Daher wollte ich ihr etwas Besonderes schenken, um unsere London-Reise zu verewigen. Was bietet sich da mehr an als selbstgestrickte Socken mit London-Motiven!

32 Maschen x 34 Reihen = 10 x 10 cm im Jacuqard-Muster mit Nadelstärke 2,5 mm

Garnvorschlag:
„Arwetta“ von Filcolana 210 m / 50 g (131.234 yds / 0.88 oz) 80 % Schurwolle, 20 % Nylon

Garnmenge:
jeweils 1 Knäuel in den Farben 100 (white), 218 (chinese red), 102 (black), 200 (yellow), 144 (blue)

The London Tourist Socks are knitted from the top down. The toes and an afterthought heel are worked in the process.

The special thing about the London Tourist Socks is that they can be customized. The instructions contain 8 different London motifs that you can use to design your socks to your heart’s content.

The pattern does not contain precise instructions on the order in which the London motifs should be knitted. However, it does contain two example socks to serve as inspiration.
The socks are inspired by an upcoming trip to London with my mom at the end of 2024. I knitted these socks for her birthday because it’s the first trip we’re taking together the two of us and because it’s her first plane trip. So, I wanted to give her something special to remember our trip to London. What could be more appropriate than self-knitted socks with London motifs!
