Two balls of Knitpicks Capra yarn is enough for swatching and for completing one pair of fingerless gloves.

I designed these for my sister, who teaches yoga. She needed long gloves to keep her warm during the first part of yoga class, and they needed to be snug enough to hug the body tightly and stretchy enough to be very comfortable. I soon discovered the elasticity of the cables made these gloves so comfortable to wear that I never wanted to take them off!

These make wonderful gifts, as the pattern is both easy to memorize and the cables are a real classic. I have included an explanation of a needleless cable technique, including a phototutorial. Give the technique a try to see if you like it!
