Newborn - 12 - 14” circumference - 19” long

3-6 months - 14 - 17” circumference - 20 1⁄2” long

6-12 months - 16 - 19” circumference - 22” long

Toddler/preschooler - 18 - 20” circumference - 23 1⁄2” long

Child/teen - 19 - 22 1⁄2” circumference - 25” long

Adult - 21 1⁄2 - 24” circumference - 26 1⁄2” long

Materials Needed

H/5.00mm hook

2 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver Yarn (100% acrylic)
 (Choose your own colours)

Large pom-pom maker

Yarn needle

Scissors

Gauge

10 sts and 5 rows in dc = 3” square



Notes

This hat is worked in rows (do not turn) 

Ch 2 does NOT count as a st 

Beg sts are worked into the same space as ch 2 

When you change colours you will carry the old yarn DO NOT fasten off
Join each round in first st NOT in your chain

If you are using 2 colours count your rows to work out which colour to start the top of the hat with don’t count sc row the sc row will be worked in the brim colour as well as remaining rows

I did 20 rows for the tail of the hat but you can make it as long or a short as you want

when changing colours do it before you join your round by yarning over with the new colour and then joining.
