The Long Cuddle shawl is a symmetrical, triangular shawl knit from side to side. The slipped stitch texture of the shawl makes it extra squishy and warm, perfect for when walking outside in the chilly winter weather. In testing, we realized that many of the testers loved the WS of the shawl as much as the RS, so it’s been deemed reversible!

The transition from one color to another allows for some fun opportunities for fading by using 3 skeins of different colors. On the RS, the transitions look like stripes. On the WS, a cute checkering patterns appears.

The yardage for each color is:
Color A - 230 yards (the dark blue in the sample photos)
Color B - 400 yards (the white with speckles in the sample photos)
Color C - 340 yards (the grey tone in the sample photos)

Not feeling fadey? That’s okay. This pattern could also be done with 3 skeins of the same color.

Gauge, while recommended, is not critical! I still recommend knitting a swatch to make sure you get a fabric you like. Many testers ended up going up one needle size.
