Long Dog with Hat
Long ago, into my childhood, I was presented with a crocheted dog toy as a gift. I knew nothing of the yarn arts and this toy became a dear favorite of mine. Later on in life, when I did learn how to crochet, I made it my mission to make one of these for others. I examined my old friend “James” and made up this pattern. He is a good toy for children—no button eyes or plastic bits. He also is made up of all those small balls of yarn that are too small for other projects. You can make him in any color combination that you want or a single color.
Materials:
G Hook
3 small balls in white (W) and two other colors of your choice
1 small ball of black yarn
1 small ball of yarn in whatever color you want for hat
Needle for sewing
Stuffing
NOTICE: Please feel free to make as many of these as you want for craft shows, friends, random gifting to people in the park, stocking stuffers, sales online, but do NOT sell this pattern as your own, and please give credit back to the maker when you do sell.
