This easy, but somewhat unusual ribbed lace can be made exactly as seen here, or you can substitute any yarn, at any gauge, and still have a fun and funky piece to add to your wardrobe. It is the perfect “stash buster” project. The one pictured here is 7 1/2 inches wide and 160 inches long, but you can make it any width and any length you’d like.

This lace stitch is incredibly flexible in terms of width and length as it has very few repeat stitches or rows, so you can tailor your cowl to fit your needs or wants.
