This easy to follow, highly detailed pattern will take you through the steps to make your very own Brachiosaurus / Long Neck toy.

I’m very excited to share I have been working on a YouTube tutorial (with closed captions) for this. It is split in two, with part 1 covering making the body (nose to tail): https://youtu.be/96zqkFnWqpU and part 2 covering the legs and construction: https://youtu.be/A4cC_72IBWE

Using 8ply / DK yarn the you will be 35cm / 14” long from nose to tail tip. I use roughly half a ball of I’ve yarn dancing baby, and a little over half of four seasons Marvel 8ply.

Terminology is US but includes table with conversion to UK.

Difficulty is beginner to intermediate. Some testers were new to crochet and plushies and were able to finish without questions.

Stitches (US Terms) included are
-Magic circle
-Single Crochet
-half double crochet
-Increase
-Decrease
-Slip Stitch
-Chain

I have included detailed instructions and many photos, including steps for attaching pieces as shown here.

You will need:
-8ply yarn in one or two colours as desired
-polyfill
-3.5mm hook
-yarn needle
-stitch markers

I welcome emails and messages if you have any questions.

This is a digital pattern, not a finished item.

Update July 2024: updated to free pattern as I’m closing my Etsy store and happy for folks to use this as they wish. Happy crafting.
