Long Walk Cardi
A completely customizable cardigan for everyone!

Sizing
This pattern is size-inclusive and has absolutely no upper or lower size limits. It’s custom-fit based on your unique measurements.

Fit
Long Walk Cardi is a drop should sleeve, open front cardigan. It is intended to be worn with close-fitting sleeves, 0 ease across the chest, and upper to mid-thigh length.

You are free to enter measurements to modify the fit, just remember to adjust your yarn requirements accordingly.

Construction
The Cardi is knit from the bottom up, flat. After the split for the sleeve opening, the back and two front panels are worked independently. The 1x1 rib band/collar, which is worked at the same time as the body, continues for a few inches after each front panel bind off. This becomes the back neckband and attaches to the upper back during finishing.

Each sleeve is worked flat from the cuff up with a selvage stitch edge and joined with a mattress stitch.

Charted and written instructions are provided for the 1x1 rib and lace panel which adorns the back center and top of each sleeve.

Gauge
Do you hate matching gauge as much as I do? Then you’ll love this!

I recommend 14 sts and 19 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch, blocked with US 10 (6 mm) needles. But you can plug in your precise gauge and the pattern will calculate based on that!

Staying close to the recommended gauge will provide the desired scale of the lace pattern.

Yardage Requirements
Yardage can vary since this cardigan is customizable to your measurements. Use the following as a guide. The amounts below are for a cardigan in gauge and recommended yarn, which is 25” (63.5 cm) from neckline to lower hem. This is only a guide. Measurements are listed every 4” (10 cm), but this was done only to conserve space. Absolutely every bust/chest measurement, in half-inch increments, is available in the pattern and you can make the Cardi as long/short as you want. Please ensure you obtain enough yarn to avoid yarn chicken ;-)
