The Longwood Scarf is a simple garter-stitch scarf with a mosaic stitch border at each end. It’s worked back and forth in two pieces and grafted in garter stitch at the center.

Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Size F/5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn for provisional CO; stitch holder; spare needle in same size or smaller for three-needle join; tapestry needle.
Gauge 23 sts and 40 rows = 4” in garter st; 23 sts and 52 rows = 4” in charted patt.
