Ripples of eyelets and purl ridges create pleasing texture, and a repeating ‘feather and fan’ detail provides a sinuous edging. Completed in worsted weight or dk held together with floof, this shawl is warm, deliciously snuggly, and works well with tonals, speckles or variegated yarns.

Yarn:
3 skeins of Aster Fiber Company Worsted, or approx 300g of worsted weight yarn (approx 645 yds)
OR
3 skeins (approx 300g) DK and 3 skeins (approx 150g) of mohair or suri to hold together with the DK.

Note:
This shawl is designed to use up almost every last bit of 300g of worsted weight. If you find yourself running out of yarn, feel free to finish in a contrasting color for the bind off rows.
My second sample using the “Clickers aren’t zombies” colorway for the body is finished with “Look for the Light” in rows 147-148 and the bind off.

Gauge:
Worsted: unblocked, in stockinette 16 sts x 24 sts to 4”
Blocked in stockinette, 14-16 sts x 21-24 sts to 4” (this is an average of data compiled by test knitters)

Notions:
US 9, 32-40” (can start off with a shorter needle and switch to a bigger cable as it grows)
One stitch marker for center spine
One marker to denote right side (optional)
Darning needle for weaving in ends

Colorway used for this sample was Weathered. This and more are available for order here
