Lookalike Crochet Pullover/Poncho
US terminology.
My example is a Child Size 4/5
L/8mm hook and 2 strands of Worsted Weight yarn worked together (about 400yds each skein) OR #5 Bulky weight yarn single strand (about 400yrds total). My tension is tight!
Finished pullover dimensions are 18.75” wide X 17” tall from shoulder to waist, and 35” total length. The neck collar dimensions are 6.75” tall X 10.75” wide when not folded down.
As long as you use a hook and yarn size similar, you should come out with a pullover of similar size. Go up a hook or yarn size for a slightly bigger size or down a hook or yarn size for a slightly smaller size. Also accommodate for your personal tension
Starting chain counts as a stitch in the final count.
Abbreviations you’ll need to know:
CH, SC, DC, FPDC, BPDC, SK ST, SL ST, Join, * to , and FO.
Everyone loves the knitted pullover that circulates online, and I wanted a crochet version of it as close as possible. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
