Loom Knit Men's Open Rib Neck Gaiter
When I first began designing this neck gaiter, I had all kinds of ideas. I thought of adding some cables, or maybe a fancy stitch pattern. Then I realized that most men like things simple and streamlined. That’s when I decided to use the Open Rib Stitch. It’s unfussy and has a rugged look to it that men will love. Simple to wrap, and quick to knit, this would make a great gift for the men in your life.
Materials
Knitting Loom: Double sided knitting board with at least 46 pins. The 18” AKB knitting board set at standard (1/2”) setting was used.
Yarn: 120 yards of worsted weight yarn. Vanna’s Choice (Rust) was used in the sample.
Notions: Tapestry Needle, Knitting tool, Crochet hook (for bind-off)
Gauge: Approx. 6 sts. and 7 rows over a 2 x 2 inch swatch in Ribbing Stitch
NOTE: Because this is an older pattern, and the internet changes so quickly, some of the informational links may no longer be working. If this is the case, www.knittingboard.com, or a quick internet search of the term, should yield the results you need. Happy Looming!
