These socks were designed specifically for variegated or hand dyed yarn. While the yarn may look beautiful in the skein, pooling or splotching of colors can occur. One way to avoid this is to add purl stitches into your knitting. This pattern shows you a fun way to do this, resulting in random ridges of purl stitches. Plus, while the pattern is sized for a toddler, it contains instructions on how to make this sock in any size. Materials

Knitting Loom: AKB Sock Loom

Yarn: 100 grams of fingering (sock) weight yarn for youth/adult or 50 grams for child. (Knit Picks Stroll Multi (Cupcake) was used in the sample)

Gauge: 7 stitches and 12 rows to 1 inch in FS.

Notions: Tapestry Needle, Knitting tool, Two pieces of scrap yarn in a contrasting color(optional)
