This is a pattern for a loom knit coaster using a cd or dvd in the center so the moisture will not seep through.

A fun way to recycle old CDs or DVDs that are too scratched or out of date to use. The disc can be painted to cover label with spray paint for plastics to match the yarn color if desired.

A small gauge loom with 3/8” peg spacing is used for this pattern. The All-n-One loom was used for the sample set to 32 pegs. The KB Sock Loom 2 or the Martha Stewart loom knit set up for 32 pegs with small pegs in every hole can also be used.

Uses less than 1 ball of Sugar ‘n Cream worsted/medium weight cotton yarn. I used variegated cotton, but use your imagination with any kind of color work. Also included 2 versions - the one pictured and also one with spokes. Any kind of stitch pattern should work fine. Be creative!
