Meet the Loon Song socks.

Growing up near the Great Lakes, every Summer was spent by a lake, river, or pond. One lake we visited often was the breeding grounds of several families of loons.
I remember walking through the tall grasses to the shore, in the first warm rays of morning sun, with the air full of loon calls echoing across the fog above water.

Summer is here, and I can’t wait to settle in next to a lake and hear the sounds of waterfowl again, with my knitting in hand.

The design features subtle textures and cables, punctuated by garter accents. The socks are worked cuff-down and feature a flap and gusset heel.
They are sized kids large through adult large.

They are knitted in fingering weight yarn on size US 2/2.75 mm needles.
