This quick bulky weight hat features 1/1 cabled ribbing, and an all-over textured pattern. This design is simple and easy to memorize but creates a visually interesting hat with a cool crown decrease method. Paying attention to gauge is more important with this hat pattern than most as the size medium uses pretty much all of the skein, so a change in gauge could easily result in running out of yarn.

Fits head 18-20 inches (20-22 inches)
Hat height- 8.5”, (9”)
Materials:
Yarn: Shown- Poppy Yarn and Fibre Berlin Bulky (106 yards/ 100 grams)
Recommended: 100 grams of Bulky weight yarn.
Needles: 5 mm and 5.5mm/US 8 and 9 needles of choice depending on the knitters individual knitting style (16” circs, long circ for magic loop or DPN’s for crown shaping)
Notions: darning needle for weaving in ends, cable needle if needed.
Gauge: 18 stitches and 24 rows per 4” in blocked texture pattern.
