This beanie can be crochet in 4 ply wool doubled for an extra loopy brim or in 8 ply Heirloom wool or equivalent. 100 gms will be needed for 8 ply yarn and 150 gms for the 4 ply beanie. If working with the 4 ply yarn doubled you may like to work from the inside and outside of the ball at the same time.
