During the pandemic, I have tended toward easy, gratifying knits with rhythmic stitching and just enough interest to keep me going. LOOP HOLE definitely fit the bill! I have knit 4 of them…

LOOP HOLE is an all-in-one piece sweater with enough ease to make it an everyday, go-to sweater. I have actually knit myself both a M size with the recommended (10”/24.5cm) positive ease, as well as a S size with 5”/13cm positive ease for a little more fitted look. You can also choose your length, the number of colors you want to use and whether you want a pullover or cardigan (there are 2 different patterns, but if you buy both, you will enjoy a 44% discount)! In any event, your LOOP HOLE will be a sweater that you enjoy knitting AND wearing.

I knit 2 of mine in one of my favorite indie dyer yarns: Jill Draper Makes Stuff Mohonk Light. Locally sourced and beautifully dyed, this 100% sheep to skein USA made yarn is squishy and soft enough to wear directly against your skin. And the colors are simply AMAZING!

If you choose to use Mohonk Light:
For the 4 color longer version:
* 1 (2, 2, 2)(2, 2, 2) skeins of A AND 1 (1, 1, 1)(2, 2, 2) B, C and D.
For the 4 color shorter version:
* 1 (1, 2, 2)(2, 2, 2) skeins of A AND 1 (1, 1, 1)(1, 1, 2) B, C and D.

For my other cardigan (the longer version), I used Ritual Dyes Maven, which I also loved!
If you choose to use Maven:
For the 4 color longer version:
* 3 (3, 3, 3)(4, 4, 4) skeins of A AND 2 (2, 2, 2)(3, 3, 3) skeins of B, C and D.
For the 4 color shorter version:
* 2 (2, 3, 3)(3, 3, 4) skeins of A AND 2 (2, 2, 2)(2, 3, 3) skeins of B, C and D.

So, go check out Jill’s and Rachel’s beautiful yarns and pick your colors, then get knitting!
