Loopdiloo is a cozy cowl pattern that includes instructions for three different sizes. The Small has a 24” (61 cm) circumference and a height of 22” (56 cm). It is intended to be worn without wrapping it around your neck. The Medium is 44” (112 cm) in circumference and 12” (30.5 cm) in height, which means you can wear it with 2 wraps, snugly around your neck. The Large size is 57” (145 cm) in total circumference and 12” (30.5 cm) high. It should be worn with 2 wraps loosely around your neck.
Loopdiloo is knit in the round as one piece of fabric. You begin by casting on at the bottom lace edge of the cowl. A purl round at the top of the lace helps make the turning point for the striped “lining”. After working the lining, it is folded to the inside and joined to the bottom of the lace using a bind-off method similar to the three-needle bind-off.
The contrast between the lace and the stripes make this for an interesting cowl. It is super warm and cozy, due to the two layers of fabric. Using madelinetosh sock yarn makes Loopdiloo a durable cowl that will last you a long time. The model shown is a size Small and is knit with madelinetosh sock yarn in the colors Bloomsbury and Farmhouse White.
