Looped Cobblestones
This crocheted cowl is constructed in a spiral so that the path created by the assembled “stones” is in an infinite loop.
The cobblestones I had in mind while designing this cowl were from a city I’d moved away from, and when I went back to visit, I found myself walking the same steps I’d taken in the past. The contrast color makes an infinite loop around the cowl twice, symbolizing the return to old familiar streets.
Yarn used in pattern sample:
Cascade Yarns Ecological Wool (100% wool; bulky weight; 478 yds / 437 m per 250 g)
MC: Silver; 1 skein* or 470 yds / 430 m of bulky weight yarn
CC1: Mocha; 1 skein or 160 yds / 146 m of bulky weight yarn
CC2: Ebony; 1 skein or 177 yds / 162 m of bulky weight yarn
- The pattern sample used almost all of one skein of the sample yarn for the MC. To account for gauge differences, it is recommended to get an extra skein of your MC color.
US 8 / 5.0 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge
