Create a cute little sheep perfect for little hands, with fun loops to grab! Suggested yarns are easy-washing acrylics or cottons, however pretty much any yarn will work. Safety eyes are also suggested, I use a 10mm eye on my projects. You can also make yarn eyes, or buttons if you are comfortable with that and they won’t pose a choking hazard.

Adjust your hook size to fit whatever yarn you are using, just note that the size of your finished sheep will adjust as well. I generally use just a standard, easily available worsted acrylic for this pattern, and a size 5mm hook and my finished pig is about 5.5” tall and 5.5” long. If you are finding your sheep isn’t quite ‘loopy’ enough as your yarn is a smaller size, you can always double your yarn for the body as well to make him extra loopy!

Gauge is not important, just ensure your stitches are tight enough that you won’t be leaking any stuffing.
