It is a one-piece, top-down, reversible, asymmetrical, triangle shawlette which you can make it bigger by using thicker yarn and bigger knitting needles or by working more repeats. One side is lace. The other side and the border are just garter stitch. Any yarn and colour will be great for it. Gauge is not important.
