Despite never having met in person until the first day of filming, actors Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel had the perfect mother/daughter on-screen chemistry. While Graham was experienced in both TV and theater, Bledel was a fresh-faced film student at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and brand new to the acting scene. To help her stay in camera, the two would walk arm-in-arm with Graham guiding her young costar to her mark. Not only did this help the crew frame up the moving shot, but it also helped the two develop a relationship that was like sisters as well as mother and daughter. As the show continued to be renewed and Bledel became more experienced, the two remained arm-in-arm throughout the seven seasons because they became closer both on-screen and in real life. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino recalls, “They developed this interesting camaraderie that was, you know, you can’t cast that, it just shows up and then it happens.”

All you have to do is call their name, and they’ll be there—right in your pocket! These adorable little pocket-size Lorelai and Rory dolls are worked in the round from the bottom up in one piece. Their skirts are picked up and knit outward from the waist, embellished with details added with embroidery and duplicate stitching post-knitting. The dolls are then stuffed with poly stuffing, and simple running stitch is employed to define their arms and legs. Add the hairstyle of your choice and take them with you to Stars Hollow.
