Nothing better than a cozy neck to fight off a chilly day. This lovely cowl evokes a scale like pattern that makes me think of mermaids and fantasy creatures. (The Lorelei is a mythical siren that lures sailors on the Rhine River in Germany.)

This stitch pattern works up quickly and is easy to memorize. One skein is just enough to make a small cozy neck warmer. Two skeins makes this cowl long enough to pull up as a hood to buffer your ears against cold winter winds. No matter the option you choose, this will become a favorite accessory
