The Lorilane chunky sweater vest is a pretty easy pattern to make. Its main highlight is the ribbing on the body (from working in the back loop of the half double crochet stitches) and the ribbing at the bottom, armhole and neckline.

Feel free to experiment with other colours for the ribbing at these other parts, just ensure that it is the same weight as the yarn used for the body.

In the pattern you will notice a difference in the number of rows for the body and the ribbings (which have longer rows), this ribbing uses a different formula; which is all explained in the pattern,
