Lori's Comfort afghan

This pattern is
available for free.
This is an excellent pattern for a BEGINNER! The only stitches used are ch and dc.
The pattern shown calls for 10 skeins of Beige, 3 Dk. Grey Heather and 3 Pink. All 10 of the Beige skeins were used up, with some leftovers of the 3rd Grey and Pink skeins.
NO GUAGE WAS CALCULATED.
If I were to make this again, using the same yarn and hook, I would decrease the amount of chains by 2-3 patterns (16-24 chains), and would add another full cycle of the Grey, Pink, Grey, Beige to the length. I feel the pattern works better visually as a horizontal stripe rather than a vertical stripe; however, due to my supplies on-hand, my afghan ended up being nearly square.
