INTRODUCTION
Indulge in the warmth and comfort of the lost cable beanie - a staple winter knit adorned with intricate cables and decorative purls. The hat boasts a stylish folded brim and a charmingly subtle slouch, complete with a playful pompom to cap off the look. Made to fit the average adult woman, this is the perfect winter accessory. This pattern includes both written instructions and charts for the body and crown of the hat.
SIZING
• One Size •
• Circumference: 20.5” {52 cm}
--> To fit the average woman with 0.5” {1.5 cm} of negative ease.
--> For a looser fit go up a needle size or two.
• Folded Brim: 8.75” {22 cm} tall
--> Hat is fitted with the slightest slouch. Information is included about adding length for a more slouchy fit.
MATERIALS
YARN
• Worsted (also called Medium #4)
• Hat only: 130 yards {119 meters}
• Hat with pom: 155 yards {142 meters}
--> May vary depending on the size of the pom.
Sample uses: I Love This Yarn Tweed (100% Acrylic, 252 yds {230 m}/142g) in the colorway Sweet Dijon.
NEEDLES
• US 8 {5 mm} circular needles, 16″ {40 cm} and 32” {80 cm} long.
--> Or size needed to match gauge.
• Rib needles: 1-2 sizes 0.5-1 mm smaller than gauge needles with a 16” {40 cm} cable.
OTHER MATERIALS
Yarn needle, stitch markers & cable needle.
GAUGE
• Stockinette - Worked in the Round
• 14 sts / 24 rounds = 4″ {10 cm}.

• Techniques Used:
--> Casting On
--> Cable 4 (C4F/C4B)
--> Knit
--> Purl
--> K2TOG / SSK
--> P2TOG / P2TOGtbl (you can use P2TOG instead of P2TOGtbl)
--> Suggested that you switch to magic loop or DPNs when the crown of the hat gets too small during the decrease section.
