Lost Creek Headband
Pattern Notes
This pattern is part of an exclusive kit release with Nerdy Sheep Fiber Works. Visit their website to learn more about how to get the kit and pattern.
The center of the headband is worked in the round. When a certain number of stitches are reached, half will be put on waste yarn while the other half is worked flat to create the sides of the headband. Alternating segments of stockinette and garter are worked with increases in the center and decreases on either end, with a border of consistent garter down both sides. Eventually increases will be consistently omitted to allow each side of the headband to taper. The headband can be tied together at the ends, and worn with the decorative square on the top or the tied ends.
It is highly recommended that this headband is worked with two DPNs when flat - this will help you keep track of where the increases should go without having to count.
The headband can easily be adjusted to different widths. If going thinner, make sure to account for the difference in length - there will be fewer decreases on the ends, making the headband shorter, so add more length prior to decreasing.
