Lost Ruins Cowl is the third design in my Peruvian series and is inspired by the Amazon Rainforest and ancient Incan ruins you might stumble upon hidden in the Amazon. This cowl is done in collaboration with the amazing Kelsey of Primrose Yarn Co. She came up with a beautiful new colorway just for me! When it came to choosing a name for this colorway, I loved that the word Amazonas (Amazon in English) has two meanings. There is the Amazon Rainforest filled with vibrant colors, home to beautiful flora and fauna; but there are also the powerful Amazon warriors. These amazing mythical women are said to be fiercely independent, courageous warriors, stronger than men. To me that is just so empowering to think of these powerful warrior women. Not only is this name and collaboration inspired by Peru but also shows how much stronger women can be when working together.

Needle Size:
US 5 (3.75 mm) 16” circular needles
Needle size is just a suggestion, use whatever needle size required to meet gauge
If you knit tightly in colorwork it is recommended that you go down 1-2 needle sizes when knitting stockinette and texture sts to avoid changes in gauge

Gague:
24 sts x 28 rnds = 4” in colorwork & texture motif knit in the round, blocked
Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect final measurements and yardage

Notions:
Crochet hook, waste yarn for provisional cast on, & lifelines, stitch markers both round and locking, tapestry needle, extra set of needles for Kitchener stitch, blocking wires & pins
