Geometric motifs create stark contrast with the delicate imprint of a lotus flower. This square hat features two miniature hems at the brim to provide structure and warmth and the shaping between each motif insures an elegant taper.
Finished Measurements:
Brim circumference: 20 1/2“(52 cm) to fit adult head size 20 - 23”(52 - 58 cm), Length: 8 ¼”(21 cm)
Yarn:
1 skein mYak Tibetan Cashmere Medium,
2 skeins mYak Baby Yak Medium
Suggested Needles:
Main Fabric Needle: One 16”(40 cm) circular and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge
Suggested size: US 6 (4.00 mm)
Welt Needle: Two 16”(40 cm) circulars one size smaller than gauge needle
Suggested size: US 4 (3.5 mm)Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Blunt tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn for provisional cast on.
Gauge:
21 stitches and 25 rounds = 4” in charted pattern on main fabric needle, relaxed after blocking.
