Axolotls are a type of salamander but are unusual for amphibians as they don’t go through metamorphosis and remain gilled water creatures! They are critically endangered, can be many colors and live up to 20 years.

Finished Size: Around 10” long

Materials Needed:
4.5mm (US size G/H) crochet hook
Approx. one skein of worsted weight yarn in your chosen main color (mine is soft pink)
Small amount of contrast color (mine is magenta)
1 pair 8mm safety eyes with clear irises (or other options: buttons, sequins, embroidery etc)
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle to weave in ends
Polyester stuffing
