Lotus
This semicircular shawl is worked in segments. You will need to make at least 7 segments and then block it stretching in width to get it into the right shape, or knit 8 segments, in which case less vigorous blocking will be needed.
Techniques used: garter stitch and short rows. You do need to know what wrap and turn means.
You will need:
-
long circular needles 4mm thick (US size 6)
-
fingering-weight yarn in 4 colors. Two 100g (400m) skeins for the main part, and two 50g (200m) skeins for the outer edge.
