Lotus
Here is what happens when you take Grandma’s doily pattern to the hardware store. This is a sturdy and stylish handbag made from natural fiber and materials. You can’t get enough fiber, right?
The material used to make this bag is jute, a natural plant fiber used in making rope and burlap. It is inexpensive and durable. I got the idea for making the bag during a trip to the hardware store. I remembered doing macramé and other hippie style crafts with jute and wooden beads as a kid, and the remembrance of the whole natural vibe, plus the idea of using something so rough and natural-looking to make something beautiful appealed to me.
