This hat is worked in the round from the brim to the top, with a beautiful Lotus stitch that continues up into nice crown decreases. You may add a pompom.
It fits most women and teens or children over approx. 10 years old. If you want smaller sizes, you can get the Little Lotus and Stripe Beanie pattern, for babies, toddlers and children: Little Lotus and Stripe Beanie
It is a close fitting beanie, but if you prefer a more slouchy look, add rounds before the decreases (yardage will be different).

Circumference (unstretched): 18.5” / 47 cm

Materials
- DK yarn (100g for 200m or 220 yards), without pompom (add 10 to 20g more for pompom):
Size S = main color 40 g (80 m - 90 yards) and contrasting color 10 g
Size M = main color 50 g (100 m - 110 yards) and contrasting color 13 g
Size L = main color 60 g (120 m - 130 yards) and contrasting color 17 g
For the sample, I used Drops Lima (MC) and Malabrigo Rios (CC).

• Needle: US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 6 (4 mm) 16” / 40 cm circular needle and double pointed needles (dpn) for decreases (or size to get gauge) - sharp needles if possible
• Yarn needle
• Split marker

Gauge: 24 sts = 4” / 10 cm in Lotus stitch with US6 (4 mm) needles

Skill level: intermediate - easier that is seems once you get used to the Lotus stitch

Ce bonnet est tricoté en rond, sans couture, à partir du bord jusqu’au sommet, avec un joli point de Lotus y compris dans la partie haute. Vous pouvez ajouter un pompon.
Il conviendra à la plupart des adultes et enfants de plus de 10 ans environ.
Il est conçu pour épouser la tête, mais si vous préférez qu’il soit un peu “slouchy”, tricotez quelques rangs de plus avant les diminutions (attention, la quantité de fil nécessaire sera plus importante).

• Aiguilles : 3.5 mm et 4 mm (ou la taille qui permet d’obtenir l’échantillon), aiguilles circulaires d’environ 40 cm et aiguilles double pointe pour les diminutions - pointues si possible

Echantillon: 24 m et 40 tours = 10 cm au point de Lotus avec les aiguilles 4 mm
